Album Release: Mustard Service “PAradise”
Release Date August 21, 2026

There’s something addicting about Mustard Service’s most recent album, Paradise, and I think it boils down to genuine connection. The group describes themselves as “indie rock with surf, jazz, funk and bossa nova, while weaving Cuban, Uruguayan, Argentinian and Mexican influences.” Mustard Service has woven these genres together to create a cohesive piece of work that is lyrically and musically inspired.
The track list is twelve songs long and approximately 36 minutes. Two out of the twelve songs, “Clock” and “Caballito,” are instrumental tracks. Their inclusion on the album adds a level of musicianship that is not found in many artists producing music today. A particular standout in the track list was the run from “Aerolineas Mostaza” to “County.” “Aeolineas Mostaza” is a track sung beautifully in Spanish, “I Want it All” is a yearning plea matched with an upbeat groove, and “County” details the pain and love that comes from a dysfunctional relationship.
Something to note about Mustard Service is that they will make you think about life, love, and suffering, while making you tap your feet to their infectious beats. The group is credited together with composition and lyrics. This collaboration is present in the recordings. Mustard Service feels like a group of friends who decided to jam out one day, and that energy transfers into every recording. The group consists of Marco Rivero Ochoa (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Leo Cattani (keyboard), and Adam Perez (drums). Ochoa’s vocals are vulnerable and emotional in every song. The instrumentals will make you think about calling your friends and asking them to hang out in your basement.
With over 345k monthly listeners, Mustard Service is in the middle ground between undiscovered and widely known. This most recent album is a natural progression of their sound and is a good indicator for things to come. Lou recommends following Mustard Service to see all they will create!
