Live: madison Cunningham
Bearsville Theater, Woodstock, NY | September 22, 2026
Abby Gordon
Madison Cunningham took the Bearsville Stage Wednesday night in Woodstock to bring her album back to its birthplace, where she wrote and created the songs.
Cunningham joined her piano on stage, surrounded by moss, grass, and cool-toned lighting that set the scene for her set.
A piano piece opened the set and warmed up the audience for a night of powerful lyrical songs.
The piano played into ‘Shatter Into Form I,’ followed by ‘Shore.’
Cunningham’s bandmate, Jesse Chandler, joined her with backing vocals, vox, and various woodwind instruments. Chandler grew up nearby, so the show was a warm welcome home nearing the end of tour.
The setlist included songs from her most recent album, ‘Ace,’ along with some popular tunes for the fans.
From old to newer guitars, Cunningham created unique sounds with her hands and pedals to bring the songs to life.
Fans gathered close to the low-set stage, singing with Cunningham and feeling the music throughout the show.
The old barn was a perfect fit for the folk-rock, Americana music Cunningham creates on stage.
Her tour ends September 27, but will play some various shows the rest of the year.
