Listening to The Last Dinner Party feels less like pressing play and more like falling down the rabbit hole into a lush theatrical world where anything could happen. Dramatic, frenetic, and timeless, the band draws you in with their ever-changing, genre-bending instrumentals, Abigail Morris’ rich vocals, and their poetic, female-focused storytelling.

Florence Road

Grunge Irish rock bands are definitely having a moment in the music world right now, and Florence Road is one of the groups leading the charge. Comprised of four childhood friends, it seems fitting that many of the songs in their catalog focus on themes of growing up, as well as the emotional turmoil that tends to go hand in hand with it.

BETWEEN FRIENDS

After performing at multiple high-profile music festivals earlier this summer, it’s safe to say that brother and sister duo BETWEEN FRIENDS have come a long way since their debut on season 8 of “America’s Got Talent,” and it’s no surprise why. Their sound is dreamy and nostalgic, reminiscent of the indie bedroom pop of the early 2010s that would have been the soundtrack to someone’s aesthetic Tumblr blog.

Audrey Hobert’s time in the industry may have begun with her co-writing for Gracie Abrams, but she has since made a name for herself in the pop world as a sharply witty, self-deprecating lyricist. Despite only having one album released at the time of writing this, she’s already made it clear that she is committed to being unapologetically herself, which is a big reason why so many of her listeners relate to her music.

It’s no wonder why Brooklyn-born Cameron Winter made history as one of the youngest solo artists to headline Carnegie Hall – he’s in a league of his own. His raw, stream-of-consciousness songwriting style and his unique vocals are the foundation of all of his work, both in his role as frontman of the experimental rock band Geese and in his solo career.
